elevateIT 1.0 final with Demo Server, extended Support Area and Documentation!

The new elevateIT version 1.0 is now online and ready for download under either: www.elevateit.org or www.sourceforge.net.

Apart from that the Community on elevateit.org has undergone some changes with a line of new services in the support and documentation area. The Services also include the elevateIT demo server, where users can test the system for free.

With these new facilities the user has the possibility to familiarize himself with the product in various ways. In the mailing lists you can ask questions, discuss elevateIT with other users and get useful guidelines on how to approach specific problems you might have. The mailing lists can also be used to discuss problems not directly related to elevateIT.

With the extensions in documentary the user now has access to more information on the product. The elevateIT Refecence Manual (along with videos) represent the major repository of documentation on elevateIT.org. Among other things it covers “installation”, “using elevateIT” and “staging and versioning of content”.

On the elevateIT demo server you can test the system for free. If you sign up to get a user account, you can add content like documents, files, images as well as more complex types of objects like collectors, discussion boards and wikis. There are many possibilities of trying out the features of the system.

If you want to test elevateIT without any restrictions, it is recommended that you download elevateIT from elevateIT.org and set it up on your own computer. Most of the components installed can be found searching google or by checking them out of CVS from the plone collective.
